Blackgate Lane is actually more of a footpath than a lane. However, because the south end (not pictured) starts quite promisingly, a number of car drivers have been tempted to try and drive along it and have got themselves into an awkward situation that is difficult to reverse out of! A "No Through Road" sign was erected recently to warn them off. I'm not sure whether one can blame satnav - mine never directs me along it.
