The Scottish Rights of Way and Access Society (ScotWays) sign marks an old right of way to Ashgillhead via Hills Farm, which is actually off to the left here, rather than over the stile. The stile is a bit overwhelmed by summer plant growth, but if you kick your way through the nettles on the opposite side, you can follow the line of the path shown on the map (there is no longer any actual path) along field margins to emerge near Bogside Farm.
