This watercourse is a tributary of the Seaton Burn and is the same watercourse as the one shown at https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6523262. The bridge marks the point where the border between the Metropolitan Borough of North Tyneside and the County of Northumberland makes a sharp turn from a north easterly course to a more south eastern direction.
