The present appearance of this hotel dates from late 2018, because earlier on that year, the 18th century portico and Doric columns were destroyed by a lorry. The frontage of the hotel dates from 1851, although an older timber structure is hidden behind it. The building used to have a fern green colour, but also in 2018, the colour changed to sky blue.
