A banner has been fixed to the boundary railings of Gosforth Parish Church on Station Road to promote the church's recently introduced innovative ways of conducting services. As part of the government's response to the outbreak of the COVID-19 infectious disease in early 2020 all public gatherings of people were banned and places of worship were legally required to close. This prevented regular church services from taking place, so innovative ideas such as delivering services via the Zoom internet video conferencing platform emerged to mitigate the loss of physical meetings of congregations.
