Crossley Hospital East was built around 1905 and was used as a Sanatorium for patients with Tuberculosis from Manchester until 1961 when the development of new drugs allowed the closure of such places. Today it lies fenced off and deserted, waiting to be demolished, and hidden away in the north-west corner of Delamere Forest. This photo was taken at 11:00 on 7th September, 2003.
