The old stables at Aske Hall are perhaps more visible from both the road and the public footpath than the main hall. Perhaps that's why these have been converted to offices and residences while the Hall itself remains as the seat of the Zetlands, despite being a considerably less attractive building. Seclusion has its rewards, although the public footpath passes close in front of the Hall, too, hidden only by a low wall.
