Old Stone Gatepost at Edge of Wood

Looking at old maps the only clue is that the post is at the same position as the end of a track crossing the wood marked on the oldest OS map of 1853. The railway line that now splits the wood was built in the 1860s, so fair to assume the gatepost has been redundant for a while.
