A Waterloo church consecrated in 1825, it is now a Grade II listed building (https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101163277-church-of-st-george-tyldesley-ward#.XvJ1CGhKhPY). The church sits on the top of a small ridge and is consequently seen from quite a wide local area.
