At least, that's what the white sign on the (blue) front door calls the place. It's not marked as a PH on the 1887 map, nor the 1908 revision, nor for that matter in the late 1940s, but Keith Johnson's book "Pubs of Narberth" indicates that the Stepaside Inn was opened in Kilgetty House in the 1960s, at a time when the area was embracing a growing tourist industry, and the inn operated there until at least 2004. So it's a relatively recent moniker. Kilgetty House was, at one stage, the residence of the manager of the nearby ironworks.
