An original mosaic sign which for years, or probably decades, has been hidden behind an advertising poster site. It was revealed after the hoardings were removed during refurbishment of the Sainsbury's Local store on the corner of Clough Road and Beverley Road. The chain of 114 Jackson's convenience shops in Yorkshire and the North Midlands was founded in 1891 by the Hull-based William Jackson & Sons Ltd and sold to Sainsbury's in 2004.
