A popular local pub. It occupies two buildings, the further one in this view being the original inn, and the nearer one originally a smithy (or possibly a replacement building on the site of the smithy). This photo was taken before Covid-19 restrictions allowed pubs to re-open and the landlord was painting benches in the beer garden in anticipation of them being used later in the summer. Since a photo taken shortly before lockdown Image the name board on this end of the pub has been removed, revealing a blocked-up first floor window.
