A bumblebee [Bombus lapidarius] feeding on Dandelion flowers. Each of the yellow strips of the Dandelion is a modified 5-petalled flower or floret, and at the tip of each are five teeth, an indication of the 5-merous nature of the flowers; each floret has twin stigmas to receive pollen.
