According to its Grade II listing the large timber-framed building on the left, now a house, The Maltings, was probably originally a store or warehouse associated with the handsome 18th-century Grade II* listed Manor House whose tall stack and dormers show above the roof of The Maltings. The blue house on the corner is a former public house, The Rose, which dates from the middle of the 19th century.
