View to Whiteley Wood Hall. Formerly, The George Woofindin Convalescent Home, Whiteley Woods. It was erected by the trustees of George Woofindin. It opened in May 1901 mainly to cater for patients from the Royal Hospital in Sheffield city centre. From 1943 it was used as a Rehabilitation Centre. In 1955 it became Whiteley Woods Hospital and in 1958 the Whiteley Wood Psychiatry Clinic of the United Sheffield Hospitals and Sheffield University. Now I believe it has been remodelled for private residential use. The taller modern building beyond contains local NHS trust offices. It is called Fulwood House.
