School roll (2020): approximately 220. The grass is shaggy in the coronavirus lockdown (June 2020). It is one of three primary schools (along with Middleton Park and Forehill) serving this suburb, which is bounded by the A92 road to the south. 'Glashie' means grassland according to Celtic Placenames in Aberdeenshire by John Milne (download from archive.org).
