Hat Works, Stockport - steam engine

The Hat Works is in a former textile mill and showcases a former major local industry. One of the exhibits is the Tangye of Birmingham horizontal single cylinder steam engine that formerly worked at Woodley. It had originally been displayed at the earlier museum site in Offerton. It cam be turned by an electric motor.
