Granite signal boxes were uncommon except in the north east of Scotland. The Canmore listing (241964: https://canmore.org.uk/site/241964/inverurie-port-elphinstone-signal-box ) has a photo of the 'box in happier days, which once controlled the busy sidings serving Inverurie Paper Mill. Note the recently (as of 2020) redoubled track.
