On the minor road which heads towards Markinch, just as it passes St Drostan's Cemetery, a rough road (a public right of way) leads to the right. It reaches Star of Markinch after 1.5 miles and also connects to a local history walk - the Braes Loan Trail http://www.markinchheritage.org.uk/Index.asp?MainID=29134
