The former Gipton spa baths in Gledhow Woods

Gipton Spa, opened in 1671 by Edward Waddington and rebuilt c.1800, was fed by a natural spring. It consisted of a cold water bath and steam room. The building is grade II listed (list entry 1256285) but currently disused and roofless. See Image for a view of the interior.
