Former asylum near Bastonford

Built as the City and County Lunatic Asylum in 1848-52 by Hamilton & Medland. This was the former administration block. Grade II listed. Not much remains and what does now finds itself "hemmed in by neo-Georgian [housing] units that manage to be simpering and regimented at the same time."
