Vehicles bound for Aberdeen on the A944 leave Kingswells roundabout with Backhill of Brodiach farm in the background. According to Celtic Placenames in Aberdenshire by John Milne (free download from archive.org), 'brodiach' means broad howe (howe = tumulus or barrow) and presumably refers to the nearby long cairn.
