Red hawthorn in Buckingham Road, Wolverhampton

This attractive tree is in a front garden, and overhanging the footpath. In Buckingham Road, most of the public trees in grass verges have been the standard pink flowering cherry type. Some are coming to the end of their lives and are dying off. Replacement varieties vary. Also, in some nearby streets near the far end of Buckingham Road, red flowering hawthorns were planted (in the 1930s?) and these also are dying off at the end of their natural life spans. Replacements are not hawthorn.
