This is the former Yorkshire imperial Metals Hafod Works at Landore. The works closed as recently as 1980 and is a Scheduled Ancient Monument. However, this rare 1910 built John Musgrave & Sons uniflow built to a Stumpf licence is not faring too well. My attempts to have an official visit before the works closed and fell into dereliction were sadly unsuccessful. I would love to have seen this works in good condition. However, the building has now been completely restored and an enthusiastic group is turning its attention to the restoration of this once magnificent engine. I hope to visit when the Covid-19 pandemic relents.
