On 23 March, During the 2020 coronavirus pandemic https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_coronavirus_pandemic_in_the_United_Kingdom , the UK government imposed a lockdown on the whole population, banning all "non-essential" travel and contact with people outside one's home. All restaurants, pubs, clubs and indoor sport and leisure facilities were ordered to close. This message was reinforced using the “Stay at Home, Protect the NHS, Save Lives” slogan which is on this notice displayed on the door of Radcliffe Pharmacy on Church Street West. Note, the additional "You MUST stay 2 meters away" using the US spelling "meters" for "metres". This was common on many "official" notices during the crisis.
