The field was gifted to the National Trust by Jane Patterson-Lodge, a Titanic survivor, who had planted the field as a memorial to her husband Thomas. The National Trust are obliged to ensure that the Lupins remain in this field, and they're doing a grand job. The Church of St. Peter is just visible behind the far hedge.
