Sky-blue flowers, pink in bud, at the tops of stems and branches. Stems and leaves with prominent hairs and leaves with deep veins. The plant was introduced to British gardens before 1700, and still frequently grown in gardens. It was known from the wild by 1724 and now widespread and increasing.
