The nation was put into lockdown on 23 March 2020 in an unprecedented step to attempt to limit the spread of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). People were required to leave their homes only for going to work, essential shopping, medical appointments and daily exercise. Many businesses were ordered to be closed to maintain physical distancing. The lockdown was eased from 13 May 2020, resulting in an increased level of activity, though not to pre-lockdown levels. Public houses remain closed. Depicted is The White Hart, No.108 Alfred Gelder Street, where empty barrels await the drayman, and the outside seating awaits customers ... at a date yet to be advised by the government.
