During the Coronavirus, Covid-19, pandemic lockdown golf courses were closed on 24th March. They were allowed to reopen 51 days later on 13th May with certain restriction in place. Only 2 people could play together and they had to keep 2 metres apart. Rakes were removed from bunkers (free drop if in one) to stop players spreading any possible virus. The same applied to flags which players were not allowed to touch and the cups in the holes were inverted so the ball did not drop fully into the hole when putting. No hand shakes at the end and no 19th hole for a beer afterwards. It's golf Jim but not as we know it!
