A George VI postbox, which presumably dates the housing here to before 1953, situated just outside the entrance to Ireland Wood Primary School Image and with a secondary box alongside either to aid postal deliveries, or possibly as a franked mail box for the use of school administrators before e-mail took over the bulk of their correspondence.
