This is a 2007 replacement for an earlier high school on an adjacent site Image, both named after an 18th century Leeds merchant and historian. Unlike many newer secondary schools it appears not to have embraced the "Academy" model and its website describes it as a comprehensive school - a term that has fallen out of fashion these days.
