View across Empty Common allotments from the footpath along Hobson's Brook. There are plenty of vacant plots at the far end of this site. One advantage is that there is water all year round in Hobson's Brook. Along the other side of the allotments runs Vicar's Brook but this is not a reliable supply of water, especially in summer months.
