Prior to 1964 many locally made signs were made in the official style, while the little direction sign underneath is both a perfect pre-Worboys design, and the first direction (rather than warning) I've seen given in yards. I have been told the standard arrow signs to churches and local buildings are council made replicas, but wonder if this would count as a national issue as many parks and similar locations are added on them nationally.
