Former cinema, Stanley Road, Wakefield

This was the Coliseum cinema, which opened in 1920, and converted from silent films to 'talkies' in 1930. In 1933 it became the Star cinema, and in 1945 the Rex cinema. It closed in 1959 and became a ballroom, then a bingo hall, then [by 1998] the Rex snooker and pool club. By 2012 it was the Vegas sports bar and now [2020] it is empty.
