An annual plant growing alongside the wall between the Welfare Park and the school in Heddon on the Wall Image The plant grows to a height of 50cm. It has glossy five-lobed roundish leaves and flowers 1 to 1.4cm in diameter (smaller than those of Herb Robert), each with five unlobed deep pink petals set above a puffy, sharply angled calyx also wrinkled horizontally. It was once commonly found growing on the thatched roofs of cottages.
