Bust of Mary Gladys Webb (1881-1927) was born in Leighton in Shropshire and was famous as a romantic novelist and poet in the early 20th century. The sculpture was unveiled in 2016 and is the work of sculptor Jemma Pearson. A plaque reads: 'Commissioned by the Mary Webb Society 2016 with grateful thanks to Muriel Furbank for her generous legacy'
