17th century house, possibly earlier, where Judge Jeffreys of the notorious 'Bloody Assizes' lodged in 1685. Since the mid 20th century it has been either a restaurant or tea rooms. Listed Grade II*, and looking little changed in 2019 https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6077782 .
