The churchyard contains many memorial stones. Poulshot village's Anglican parish church of St Peter is in the hamlet of Townsend and some distance from the green in the centre of the village. The nave and chancel are 13th century with the aisles and porch added in the 15th century. The tower was built in 1853 and church was repaired in 1898 but was not restored.
