Tudor Cottage was originally a pair of cottages now one house. Probably built in the early 17th century, timber framed with brick nogging, some herringbone panels. Some original internal features survive. Listed, grade II, with details at: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1251285 Bulkington is a small village about 4½ miles west of the market town of Devizes and about 4½ miles south east of Melksham. The village has been occupied since the 12th century. During the 19th century a dairy centre was the main industry in the village but these days most workers commute.
