This horizontal single cylinder steam engine by W C Holmes of Huddersfield is ex Stoke on Trent Gasworks and is mounted on the bed of an earlier engine (its crankshaft is seen in the right background). This engine was later restored by Fred Dibnah but the site is now up for redevelopment for housing, although the engine will be saved as a heritage feature.
