Looking WNW back towards Newtown from a field gate on the lane to Llanmerewig on a sunny Christmas morning. The A489 Kerry Road is between the hedges on the left, you can see the chevron warning on the bend in the road. The parts of the town in view and rising ground beyond are on the other side of the River Severn.
