West Street, as it approaches Reigate town centre. The building on the left, Browne's Lodge, is a mid 1780s house, described in the 2nd edition of The Buildings of England - Surrey as "the best house in Reigate, and the type of unaffected late 18th Century house common in most country towns but comparatively rare in Surrey" and "makes a very handsome entry into the town from this side". Grade II* listed - see www.historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1377963.
