Little Wood is one of Knowsley's oldest woodlands along the former coach road which linked Knowsley Hall to Croxteth Park. The wood contains ancient oak, beech, ash and sycamore and is a very pleasant environment to walk or cycle especially in the spring with the birdsong and a variety of wild flowers in bloom.
