Totally deserted, even devoid of the usual passing heavy traffic, all except for one cyclist flashing past down the hill at possibly 30 mph, or maybe more. It's a temptingly smooth downhill road and the 40 limit may sometimes be seen as a challenge. Totally safe on this day.
