This is a public footpath from Kinson Road to Moorside Road that has been given a name in recent years as a kind of safety initiative. For more discussion see Image and further photos linked from there. The sign is of a design that dates from about 2009 when the modern emblem was adopted as a working logo for the council, in place of the borough coat of arms.
