The buildings going up on J J Thomson Avenue on the West Cambridge Site are the latest phase of the Cavendish Laboratory, the Ray Dolby Centre, named after the sound engineer, and the Shared Facilities Hub (at the other end of the road), which will include teaching and study accommodation for academics, students and staff from all departments and faculties, together with catering and library facilities.
