Waterfront Avenue (foreground) is a new road built within the formerly extensive Granton Gasworks, of which one 7 m.cu.ft gasholder dating from 1902 remains (when it was listed category B in 1998, it was said still to be in use, though that may no longer be true). The modern building to the right is still the Scottish Gas headquarters, see Image One of a series of photos taken from the top deck of a bus heading from Granton into Edinburgh.
