At this time, there were two small signs at each end. The upper one of each pair reads, in part: "This is bridge BCN/083, Carman Road", and the lower "Bridge BCH 083", with a genuine discrepancy between the three-letter codes. A third sign was later added at each end, placed directly below the other two, and bearing the text "Danger: live wires below". The parapets appear complete. See Image for the opposite view.
