Two mallards in residence and the first swallow of the season seen skimming across the water. The public footpath across the field from the back of the school cannot be followed on the true course due to a collection of old chicken houses and runs built across the line. At the exit to the road the hand gate is completely jammed, a possible indication of a lack of use.
