This attracted a wide variety of preserved and modern buses which formed a parade round the city, roads being closed to other traffic for its passage, as seen here. There were several police motorcyclists as escorts to help traffic control. This scene is High Road Shirley, where the straight road highlights the extent of the procession. Prominent in the view are preserved Nottingham AEC Regent V 266 and behind it a brand new Dennis Dominator (no.28) from East Staffordshire District Council (aka Burton on Trent).
